Gormiti, The Invincible Lords of Nature
They Gormiti, the forces of nature to Spain after the huge success they have had in Italy, which have displaced the pokemon in sales volume.
Gormitis is presented as a collectible miniatures game in which there are several peoples or races of creatures themed with elements of nature. The six towns that are represented are:
- People of the forest (forest)
- People of the earth (terra)
- People of the air (aria)
- People of the sea (mare)
- People of the lava (lava)
- People of the magma (magma)
As shown in the illustration, each character belongs to a people, they differ in color, such as water gormitis (mare) are colored cyan, while the forest (forest) will be green. Each town has a total of 7 characters with a total of 42. Each village has a leader / manager who has more power, like Noctis, the lord of the heavens (the people of the air) or Magmion, the lord of evil (the people of the magma and the villain of the series).
When buying a Gormiti figurine we find a compact made of rubber, but a little flexibility and a letter with a picture of the character, a description and a numeric value called Power (strength gormiti). The aim of Giochi Preziosi, creators of the game is to corner the recess time in schools. Area in which are masters, as we have seen before.
With these cards we can play by rules somewhat frivolous, but the game is aimed at children from 4 years. The rules of card game Gormiti are:
- Each model has a letter that describes and Power has a value of 1 to 9 (at least in this first series). This value is the intrinsic force of all models of this type, so, for example, Figure Gheos, head of the people of the land, has a power of 9.
- In addition, each model, under one foot (base), has another number, which is a switch to the Power, and the enemy is hidden until you lift the miniature and the return to see it.
- Both players choose a Gormiti and face to the enemy, who earns just add a larger value of Power: the number of the card plus the switch of FIG.
In short it is an easy game to play and we can guess a little what we will bring our enemy, as the letter of a character always has the same power. Thus we have that two figures have the same power modifier located on the basis of different shape, thus being more valued which has a higher value. Apart from this, the rules do not specify anything else, not what happens in case of a tie, how they should select gormiti and in what order, no nothing ...
Now we can only hope to arrive in Spain the other series in the Gormiti collection and hopefully, for the game rules more explicit.
